I agree with the two moderators. I purchased the DV 5500 when it first available on Home Shopping Network. After a month, the auto-focus failed. Digilife seems to be the leader in hybrids at the moment.

which is the best in videoquality? Digilife ddv-v1, Aiptek dv 6800 or Aosta dv 480.

So far as I know, the DDV-V1 and the Aiptek DV 6800 share the same internal components, so they should perform the same. The DDV-910 and Aiptek MPVR are also the same thing. I don't have any experience with the Asota/Hanshing DV480/4140, but it has a much better sensor than the V1/6800. 4.0 CCD instead of 3.2 CMOS.

Yes, I've seen this line of cameras here and there, but don't know much about them. No one who owns one has posted either here or on DWI. Compared to the Digilife, it lacks a remote control, image stabilization and video-in. At least those features aren't in any of the spec lists I've seen.

sgspirit.

Excellent suggestion, now a curve ball is thrown, Ykc.

Please understand there are so many cameras out there. We can not keep up with every single one. Sgspirit has made the best suggestion by far, and if anyone can check in and back us up, the company Lol a member

or even a guest. it will be the hardest decision, besides buying a car.

I have made many decisions from a beginners camera, to the next step pmp beginners camera, What we all would like but will not happen is see a ccd lens with 2x optical that records in high definetion for 200.00 Sony came out with theirs and well lets say its highly expensive. it may film in a format for a hdtv if it is a signal or res size. and again a 8 gig sd card will be right behind it. think about it

At this time look at the 920,950 and if you find any info of a purchase let us know. thank you Mod fishy
