below is a pic we had a topic going so I rather start a new one and add this to the external lighting .

divx isthe company at the expo with a self stick for the back. two leds lite up can add a pair or two, the push button must be held. will this give additional light we'll pull up a vid and show. not just one pair but two pair 4 leds lol

I am planning on doing the samething, but with these leds I got from ebay(20 leds plus 20 resisters for $6). One is bright enough to light up a wall about 10-15 feet away in a dim room. One problem with these leds is some of them will appear to have a blue ring when photographed or filmed.

I originally got this for my car, but each led is about 3mm in diameter so it should be discrete enough for a dv. Each led takes about 3v to 3.5v. I dont' have a cam to figure how everything works yet, but it should not be that hard to mount and draw power from the camera. The hard part would be making it look professional, durable, and easy to use.

I grabbed a handful, and well it will light up about 3 feet Lol, wil wait again till I get back to work and get my led flash lite it has around 7 or more of the led runs off a 1.2-1.5v x 3 to 4 aaa batteries..

Nice test, They sell leds at target for the head and at camping stores even at best buy they have an exterenal light , take a look at b & h cameras it is a well known store in the nyc area. for lighting.
