Both Zoran and OmniVision have websites - www.ovt.com. If you search this forum for those names, you'll find the accumulated wisdom or nonsense so far about which components are in which cameras. I think it's great that someone is pursuing this. Another couple of things to pin down are who makes the lenses, and who writes the software the cameras run on.

I'm enjoying the information you're adding to the site. I think the reason why I felt the 810 was "all Zoran" and the S670/720 were "all Omnivision", was that they were so different in terms of the combination of features. Presumably things like ability to delete MP3's would be a long way down the block diagram of these cameras. So if the chipset downstream of the sensor were similar or the same, I would expect the detailed features of the two cameras to be far more similar than they are. Maybe the control software is what's different.
