Lookin on ebay there's not alot of the ddv 1000s, however, there are quite a few M1's.

Looking at the specs they seem identical except for that it has a 5.1 CMOS censor instead of CCD. what do you guys think? worthwile?

Oh and thanks for your reply sgspirit, it was very helpful. I was actually about to bid on a 720 but then i read this post. I really think i'll hold out for a ddv 1000 or m1, or even better if the 520 comes out soon.

anyways, thanks again. That was very helpful.

If are looking at the DDV-1000, you might also consider the Ispan DDV-920. One from queenofqlitter was auctioned for $152.50 USD last night on Ebay.

QueenofE's 920 descriptions are a little off. it seems she changed the top of her old 910 auctions but forgot about the bottom. I sent an emailo to confirm that i indeed won the 920.

If anyone here is going to bid on the next one, be sure to email her as well to double check.

=)

The 920 tonight went for $155. Tomorrow's is already at $51.

(I lost again... good try sgspirit!)

Yes, I'm rusty so my timing was a little off. By the looks of the one going tonight, we should have been a little less stingy.

Looks like the winning bid for a 920 is going back to the first one sold - $202.50 or higher. 3cdigital is not selling the DDV-1000, so queenofglitter's 920 is it for now.

Yes, eBay auctions are interesting just by themselves. Sometimes a product will be ignored and go for a song. The next same item can end up having a bidding frenzy that pushes the price far beyond what the winner might have paid just before or after that item. In this case, I'm not so anxious to buy a 920 that I'm willing to go along for this ride.
