...with all the glowing reviews for the MPVR, I think I'm going to hunt one down, and send the 5900 back.

Any thoughts?

5900...looks too much like the 4500. AND it's nearly the same price as the MPVR.

DEFINATELY return

and go with the MPVR!

It's missing the AV-IN function (DVR) but otherwise it's got the same CMOS sensor along withthe same features as the MPVR. Except the screen is TINY. And it looks ugly. REAAALLY ugly. :G

Oh man, AND it's got 11FPS 640x480 mode which means NO high quality video, unless you like slo-mo. It's BASICALLY a DV4500 with a higher MP CMOS sensor. Nothing really great about it. DEFINATLEY 100% return the 5900 and get the MPVR. You will be MUCCCH happier :-)

ALSO, you won't have to do much "hunting" lol, check out shopathometv.com. EXCELLENT price AND it comes with the remote and photo paper.

I got the 5900 form shopathome for 99.00, but I didn't see the MPVR there when I re-checked yesterday. Target also has nothing listed. Is that an in-store item only for them (Target)?

Thanks

VERY strange. It seems the MPVR is no longer listed. I wonder if that's because they are out of stock or what? This is bad news for me, means I may be waiting on my exchange longer than I anticipated :O
