Hmmm......Don't think I can wait that long. I don't like prototypes either. Not to mention it will probably end up like the Mustek 5500 and be 95% defective. (went through that pain in the neck a year ago) It was good in low light mode though...all five minutes of its life. :?

I'll buy the 1000 as soon as I get some spendable cash (well maybe not that long). Thanks again for all yall's efforts......we should have a hybrid camera photo competition some time....or video's of hybrids from differeny worldwide landmarks.

Got my DDV-1000 same place Nessy. Seems really good so far. At first I thought it was terrible but then I took the lens protective clear sticker off hehe. Anyway really happy so far.

you can make the images look better by increasing sharpness. it needs to be enabled everytime you turn device on before shooting. in adobe photoshop, i use autoadjust to fix the color and man it looks so awsome. I only use zoom to fix the lense adjustment. It's a pretty good hybrid to lug around.

Nessy I found a website totally free, and allows everything I am learning, I even got a chatroom up and can create my own forum. I bet I can get three people to join real fast , me myself , and I :G

ha ha ha. yes I finally found a good site 100mb of webpage good enough for me , i grabbed digilife, and aiptek, but mustek was taken shucks.

enjoy snowboarding, I use to down hill on skies. till i met my maker lol.
