OK well this thing is SUPPOSED to be a Personal MEDIA Player...like ALL media...like pictures. Well I just took a pic and changed it to PICT0001.jpg and loaded it onto the MPVR. It showed up, completely blank. When I zoom in i see pixelated GARBAGE everywhere, no sign of the picture. Question IS, is there some way to load pictures onto the MPVR? :?

3FACE

Try this

1. have the picture you want.

2 rename it exactly like this

1face.jep is the orginal... rename 1face.jpeg to PICT0001 hit enter. do not add .jpeg or anything else.

3/ open up camera and files. drag from pc to camera

I just did that exact instructions and it worked?

"""Dont know if this has been said but to load pictures to your MVPR you need to use

ARCSOFT PHOTO IMPRESSION 5

open the jpeg and click on "create" then "save as" name it as"PICTXXXX.JPG" filename

i tried MS PAINT / ADOBE / PSP but they dont work"""

it does indeed. VERY fishy...almost COMICALLY fishy....hmmmm.

lol but yea I tried to load a .jpg to the MPVR and when viewed it was completely corrupted. I named it PICT0001.jpg. I took the same file, went through the Arcsoft program and saved it as PICT0001.jpg. Loaded it onto the MPVR and, it WORKED! I could view the pic perfectly.

did you leave off the .jpeg. you are saying you are renaming it PICT0001.jpeg

1 capital letters PICT numbers 0001 no extention then drag in

sorry if it sounds like I am complaining but you still are saying you are using .jpeg at the end

Hmmm I might be wrong but, I believe the jpeg file must be a minimum size of 640x800. anything smaller shows up blank. gonna figure what I did right or wrong to get it in there

Ok i will try it. But no, not .jpeg, .jpg is what i used, no E. I will try with NO extension just PICT0001.

Nope as I suspected, it didn't even SHOW UP in the Playback. It has to have the extension of .jpg or it won't be recognized. I think .jpeg also works when using the Arcsoft program, but without it, no luck for me. The ONLY way I can view jpg on my MPVR is with Arcsoft PhotoImpression 5.

3face

I know What I did, and I appologise

I can load up my Olympus pictures my mustek pictures and my aiptek pictures that are digital jpegs. again no nee to add the extension
But I believe what I cannot do is load up internet pictures for example off of Yahoo / images save as target. rename to the mpvr. missing codecs.

I get a black thumbnail

"Again I have worked many long hours and I have been up since the early Am hours /

1 internet pictures need convertion

digital camera jpegs works w.o convertion

are you again loading internet jpegs
