I will be traveling to E3 this year and it looks like I don't have much of a budget for things like a video recorder.

So I decided to look at hybrids. I've looked at numerous samples, but none really help me with what I'd like to know.

Which would be suitable for a setting like E3?

Here's a good idea of what it's going to look like I believe:

Not sure what type of environment that would be (obviously indoors) for any hybrid, so I thought I'd ask.

Currently I'm thinking of the MPVR since it seemed to have the best samples, but maybe someone else has a better suggestion for the situation I'm looking for.

Oh and my budget is about $200. It doesn't actually have to be a hybrid, but I do have a bunch of SD cards.

Thanks alot for your time!

E3 is that something new? or is just an indoor activity place. any hybrid will do? if the light is right. I cannot comment due to lack of Info for what you or where you are attending? sorrry

The DDV-1000 is a little better in low light than the MPVR. The video will show better low light detail and less noise. E3 is alot like CES and all the other shows; some booths will be dark and some will be bright. Might as well get the DDV-1000 for
the low light video.

Electronic Entertainment Expo 2006 in Los Angeles

Looks like mainly video games. If NinetyGal gets her hybrid, maybe we'll geta short show video. Its a trade event, not open to the public.

Thanks for the replies!

Yeah, from what I understand E3 is a mixed bag when it comes to lighting.

Thanks for the advice Bob!

you should have loads of fun as long as the subject got light on it it will film excellent if it is dark on the subject no film will be suitable. if you did deep in the pages look for the thread called supacam or jacob javetz Expo center i have gone and filmed a simular show and it did great under the flooded lights and dull sections.
