I have a ton of MPEG vids. I do not have the ArcSoft Media Converter software. Can anyone help me figure out how to watch, or convert and watch MPEGs on my MPVR?

I managed to upload all my mp3's without a problem.

thanks!

question: how d oyou own a mpvr and without the software? that is 1/2 the battle having eexcellent software with a great hybrid?

possably you need to find a download in cnet.com sorry but maybe a little more explaination is needed?

you'll need a converter to watch but it may be possable to load your vid with a softwae you own and save as a asf file.

No...MPVR .asf movies are encoded a special way. You need the Arcsoft Media Converter and you SHOULD have it (its on the PMP disc that comes with the camera). With any other converter you would need to change the audio format to IMA PCMand the video to...don't really know exactly but it's a special .asf format (aka not simply .asf). This is all done with the Arcsoft software...of course if you REAAALLLY don't have it you could always use bitorrent.....if you know what I mean :blah::-)

The Arcsoft Converter will also create .avi files that can be played back on the MPVR

lol Grimbor, you're a GENIUS!Can't believe I never TRIED that:-) The Arcsoft converter can create .avi's PLAYABLE on the MPVR!!! But that's not the best part, you can FAST FORWARD AND REWIND THROUGH THEM!!!!

3Face,

How did you get the .avi files to play? Mine don't even show up on the cam. I used the MPVR bundled Arcsoft to convert a .wmv to .avi.

Thanks,
MPVRr
