As Noted , there is no instructions on how to load the software to the camera

Must have orginal firmware in case the upgrade fails. take not we are not responsable for the person and companies actions.

1. format sd card through pc only and reformat again, and add firmware into sd card with no files or subfile

Please if any other member remembers the sequence credit will be isued to you as well.

Email of Ispan claimes improved quality of pictures , that is all.

claimes low light will not be better due to cmos sensor and no night modefeature.

I hope this helps out anyone wanting the Firmware we'll direct you to the account

Cool I would like the firmware for my ddv-920. I thought the ddv-1000 and ddv-920 (same model) were CCD imagers.... and the DDV-910 was CMOS?

Thanks,
Bob C

Has anyone actually tried this yet? lol... i dunno if i wanna be ther first..

also... the file name says ddv910, not 920...

this would be crazy excellent if it fixed the "vertical line" problem when taping bright light sources.

AIj............ take note.

the name in red, and what model it's for. also calm down , you got super excited.

If y ou ask this member he said : I tried it. returned it?"

sg was also maiked the firmware , but never replied back on it yet, he did not take the extra step like I did , but keeps up on the other half of this forum.

I be cautious first before I uload without knowng there's no downgrade

like the MPVr which if you load up upgrade, and dislike you can downgrade go backto the orginal

hope this clears up the delelma

I made a mistake by uploading direcly via USB cable into the camera. This rendered the camera to not power on

The proper way to do it, is to load the files DIRECTLY onto the SD card via a CARD READER.

DO NOT UPLOAD FIRMWARE VIA USB TRANSFER CABLE!

Hi,
Has anybody applied this firmware to their DDV-920/DDV-1000? The firmware is titled DDV-910 which is a completely different camera (CMOS vs CCD)

Thanks,
Bob C

Sorry fishy, i think people are getting confused because the title of the thread states "Ispan DDV-1000"

However, there is no Ispan DDV-1000 to my knowledge, so we assume it meant Digilife DDV-1000 which of course is equivalent to the Ispan ddv-920.

Futhermore, once downloaded the name of the upgrade file is

DDV_910_iSpan_G1214N_Toshiba__rar.zip

This is why there's a few people who have been confused by this posting, even me.

To clarify for everyone, if I'm right, this is NOT a firmware upgrade for the Ispan 920, And according to fishy, there is none available to his knowledge.

Most probably this firmware is for the ispan_910 and perhaps equivalent clones. If it isn't then there are too many mislables going around here and I would refrain from trying out this upgrade until someone can garauntee 100% which DV models this firmware is for.
