Be careful if you purchase an item like this i may not be released in the USA but may be overseas. release date is not out yet for this at Amazon when mazon releases its trusted.

amazon will say "Availability: In stock soon. Order now to get in line. First come, first served. then available"

Thanks for directing us to the information. After reading the manual for the Z100 (which we're assuming is the same as the Zoom DV), I could not find anything about the camera having the capability to record from TV. There is no AV-In port, just TV-Out. And there are no instructions for recording from TV as there are in the MPVR manual. So, I'm guessing there really is no AV-IN feature for the optical zoom camera. That's disappointing anda dealbreaker for me! Although I used the function rarely, the times I do, I love having it!

I didn't even notice that, but your right there is nothing at all aeven mentioned about video-in or recording from video sources.

This would be a surprising omission though, since it's the same hardware with just a few changes...none of them inhibiting this function.

This may be why it also doesn't function as a web-cam...no video to-from the USB port.
