IS-DV2 record with led battery test Click me

Some wil like to know.

1. how long will alkalines last? 2. rechargables? lithiums?

3. Differences between a LI-ON, alkaline, rechargable

4. lastly how long will other type of batteries aaa system, Paralell systems.

I sat down and Placed a clock at 12:00:no second hand

1. I Place two freshly rechargables and show the screen at machro to you in the Video.

2. I go through the settings to try to find VIDEO and set QVGA lowest resolution

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++

two tests were done,

Test A will be no led straight camera play. at low res.

test B will be led hyper whites on full duration.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++

3. A I hit record And let camera stand.

3. B I hit record and let camera stand and face towards the clock so you se the leds shine on a object.

4. camcorder shows indications and battery increments, and Low battery almost instantly shuts down.

5. close lcd screen wait a few min's. check file in playback.

6. test is completed.

================================================== ====

Results:

test A1. Rechargable batteries will last 3 full hours.

1.no video shown for this camera gets warm to the touch. playback file does not get currupted. no turning on and off full record one time only.

Battery life willbe less if you use zoom, turn on/off repeatly, and use playback and other features constant Stabilizer on or off wil not use more batteries same if on same if off.

Test B 1. rechargables batteries will last* hours and ** minutes

as mentioned above

video ( see above at top of page) shown for this camera gets warm to the touch. playback file does not get currupted. no turning on and off full record one time only.

Battery life willbe less if you use zoom, turn on/off repeatly, and use playback and other features constant Stabilizer on or off wil not use more batteries same if on same if off.

Conclusion the Battery life is a garranteed 2 hours minimum to 3 hours record time. an Excellent test and shown it can be done. Battery life shortens when you start to start and stop vid recording this concludes my testing.

any questions Please ask. thank you
