any type of video must be converted using Arc converter

you need to jus test it out and have fun...............

webcam vid yes about 0 or more controls over 3 or 5 Lol on older models.

try using the ev settings as you film, that may help brighten a vid up a lil.

Yeah I did, its on +2 when the lighting gets pretty dark, I was hoping there was a brightness control on the firmware.

Hi Fishycomics!

I discovered a small little problem, something to do with Audio and Video Sync.

1. When I playback video, the video and audio are not in sync, even after transfering it to the PC, the video and audio are still not in sync when I playback on the PC.

2. I converted a movie using the arcsoft media converter. When I play it on the PC its okay, but if I play it on the Aiptek 8800, its starts out OK but will soon go out of sync by 1-2 seconds.

I read somewhere that you might have firmware that fixes the audio and video sync?

Not for the PVR/8800 as it already uses a higher firmware and what's odd, is that it doesn't happen all the time.

when you use arc. what are the settings?

you may have them on default o not default

I am trying out a movie I waited over a year for at least saving Private ryan. super, super excellent movie.

I am editing the movie to show the 1st 30 munites.

I am selecting the source of what I saved it as

1. win dvd creater as wmv asf.

I and selecting it to Arc, and destionation well I hope I can find it after i saved it lol my docs????

2 settings I chose 320x240 I believe I had no choice

I set it at 3.0 mbs bit rat vid

I set sound also to highest, and left the code alone asf not mp4 or avi

3 converted. andwill exchange number to correct one CLIP0001 and test out.

yes I will not see vid voice due to action , action ,action

But what i did not mention was the FPS 29.97 that is the key not 25 FPS those point 3 secs will make a difference.

sd card 1 gig average speed no other fancy tricks.

now what I will see stay tuned 61.2 megs takes a few minutes will reply again

As I load the file CLIP0001 just modded, I delete my old file but save to my pc first as i do not yet want to dismiss them.

1. 2.5 minutes for 30 minutes of Pure Action.

2. batt's not fully charged, will not kno what to expect.

3. first it plays on the pc the flag sounded choppy

the waves hit me like I was on water the vid is real grainy and blurred Perfect b/c that's the way an Army Pic needs to look like right on target.

30 secs. and tom hanks gets his first words in Right On key:-)all is working fne

now to the MPVR

1 the movie starts flag flaps les choppy the waves oh man where's my dvd portable to plug this in!

2.vid is awesome hand shaking canteen but hey the color its grey. the vomet,

starbord side sixstarbord side six tom hankssays see you on the beach all up front

one of the solders says something But I cannot here it hopefuly a whisper , gonna replay with head sets.

so i sit watching again Oh Man i cannot say a word!

ALL works fine with MY testing. what i have to Complain is My cable compan knows how to raise and lower sound very distracting

again What you must do is check the settings keep it at 29.7 fps at 3 mbs at 192 sound good luck

:|

also I am going to run out to my car and or better yet go to the big scree n try it out but you know the answer already:G

Thanks for the reply, I'm using arc at its default setting, I'll try it at 29.97 maybe that will fix the sync problem.

Hi rgvcam, how do I check what firmware Ive got on? by the way the MPVR (8800) is great I absolutely love it...

and fishy, I was right... the ccd is better in low light than the 8900 I recorded again in the same venue, same lighting conditions and the stage is very clear.

Question: Is it possible to charge the battery inside the 8800 via the USB cable? or does it only work with the battery charger?
