I got my first photo printer today. Had it delivered to work. Canon ip6700D

It had ink with it, but no paper. I dropped by Sam's Club and got a box of 400 4x6 sheets of Royal Brite Professional High Gloss paper.

The colors all look good, but the paper/photo looks like it's "cracking" as it goes through the printer. Cracks every 1/8 of an inch or so in the photo horizontally to the direction it feeds. I tried from the big tray on the back, and the cassette. And I'm printing on the shiny side. Is it just the paper? I've used 3 sheets, going to try and return it to Sams's if it is. Temps are about 68-70 degrees where the printer is. I had the profile? set to glossy photo 4x6. I was expecting maybe funny colors or such at the worst. Not actual tiny cracks all over the image.

If it's the paper can you recomend something that will work? I'm waiting on a shipment of Canon paper from Amazon. Will the Kodak paper that Sam's has work any better? I had the profile? set to glossy photo 4x6.

I'm so new I'm not sure where to look. Anyone got an anti-crack profile? I only wasted 3 sheets in hopes of returning it to Sam's. I printed another photo 6MP shot with a Canon S3 SI of my baby. Let the SW scale it up to 8.5 x 11 on plain copy paper and it's awesome!

Thanks for any answers! - Joe the n00b
