Micro Center Compatible CanonInk Cartridges. I know third party inks can kill a printer but has anyone tried Micro Center inks yet? They seam to make them for all brands of printers. I have a Canon S820

From what I have seen many of these are coming back and being returned. I wouldn't advise the purchase. I'm pretty sure that they get them for a few bucks a piece and sell them at really high prices, even though their still cheaper than brand name. I have to check the employee purchase on them. I've heard rumors that they use ink cartridges people return to recycleand just refill them.

If you want quality, then stick with the manufacturers' original cartridges & inks. You don't know what you're getting or what they did to the cartridge.

The ones with the printheads included (HP & lexmark) are heated during their initial use, so I would be very hesitant about re-filling/re-using them.
