I recently learned that Lyson has a continuous ink system developed for the Canon i9900. I've been told that the Fotonic inks used in this system have a slightly wider gamut than the Canon inks and are considered archival. The system is available in Canada from www.headshotsrentals.com, even though it's not listed on their website; I found out about the system by contacting Lyson directly after doing a search on this topic. Lyson seems to be the third party ink of choice for many Epson users but I have not heard much from Canon users. Has anyone had any experience with this system?

Hi Yes I have used the CIS for Canon i9900. It took me about 15 minutes to set up and install and has worked flawlessly. I also had a custom profile created, and the quality of the prints that I have produced are far in excess of work normal Canon inks could achive. I purchased the system from one of Lyson's main distributors http://www.specialistinks.com . They even gave me a discount off my first order and pointed me in the right direction over profiling

Whichkits did you order for the i9900. I looked at the website but only see Canon 9000 printer there. Thanks.

I am very interested in purchasing the Lyson CIS for my i9900. What was the cost of your unit? Also what are the archival ratings of their inks? Do you they use pigment or dye in their inks for the i9900? Sorry for all the questions, just very interested in their product.
