Nice pic Boily.............:-) Nice composition!!!!!!:G

were you using your TCON 17 for this pic?????

shooting_rubber.

Boily Aug 17, 2006 10:26 PM

No teleconverter for this shot...Only around 3x zoom ;)

shooting_rubber Aug 17, 2006 10:28 PM

Were you actually on Mont Royal?????? And if you used your teleconverter, you could of only sed about 1.5X Zoom and it would be eqivalent to 3X Zoom...

shooting_rubber.

Boily Aug 17, 2006 10:33 PM

Yes I was on the Mont-Royal:-)

And I can't use the tcon17 with only 1.5x zoom because there is some vignetting until you reach the 6x or 7x zoom ;)

How long did it take to get up there??????

shooting_rubber.

Boily Aug 17, 2006 10:44 PM

I went with my mom and we parked the car in a parking lot on the Mont-royal!!

After we walked for about 5 minutes and we arrived to this place:-)

shooting_rubber Aug 17, 2006 10:49 PM

I should think about doing this if I ever go there at night though.:G

Thats a great shot boily, beautifull city. we dont have things like that here in the desert we have to leave space to tie up our rattlesnakes and horny toads:lol:

inneyeseakay Aug 17, 2006 11:29 PM

Boily, the place where you live almost makes me jealous enough to learn French and move there. Not quite though, I tried learning French once, it was horrible:blah:

Boily Aug 18, 2006 12:31 AM

Thanks morag:-)

Thats like my english lol

Morag2 Aug 18, 2006 12:43 AM

Haha, well at least you can type it. I know how to introduce myself in French, ask how somebody is and then I learnt the words for "I don't know" which I feel provide a suitable answer for every other part of the conversation:lol:

Looks like Monreal must have changed a bit between 1967 and now. :-)

Anything left of the World's Fair?

Red Royalty Aug 18, 2006 6:27 AM

im Ebnglish but used to live in detroit, i toured canada and some of the scenery in southern canada is jawdropping. Lucky Boily has such natural beauty on his door step. nice pic boily- night shots are great in my opinion and very hard to nail.:cool::|

FaciaBrut Aug 18, 2006 6:54 AM

Great shots as usual Boily! Mont Royal is such a cool little hill, especially in the winter... great X-country skiing!

Regarding French.... Quebecois dialect is to French like Cockney is to English!

Boily Aug 18, 2006 10:43 AM

Thanks everyone for the comments

And I have to say that in montreal almost everybody speak french and english ;)

Thanks dawg, Yes I used long exposures, I think 13 sec and set the white balance at artifial light :-)

bigdawg Aug 20, 2006 11:27 AM

That's where I miss out I guess as I usually leave it on Autio WB! Thanks for the Tip. Have to try that out soon!
