How did you get focus on the car, and not anything else? O.o Great shots.

I pre-focus on the bottom of the road and when the car pass, I fallow the car with the camera and take the picture with a slow shutter speed to blur the bacground...
I don't know if you did some photography before but if you dind't it can sound a little bit complex:? But you will probably learn fast and undestand all the terms that people are talking about:-) Boily |

Yeah. That sounds about right. Manual focus was it?
Well, I've been trying to get into photography lately. right now, I'm stuck with a Nikon Coolpix 2500. Its soooooooo limited.... 2 something megapixels....I'm really looking forward to a new camera. I like the coolpix for the close up mode. Its pretty good. If I have problems with the P850's close up/macro, I can always use the coolpix for close ups. -En121 |

Ah. I've heard the manual zoom is simple with the P850. Like, just set the focus to manual and then use the joystick to select which part of the picture you want in focus? And then do an AF lock and wait for the car(s)? Anyway, they're great sahots. I'm gonna have to try something like that if I get a P850!

Some great picks boily. I had just read about that technique last night in the "tips and tricks" section and I'm eager to try it myself, if I can ever get my batteries charged!
![]() domang, that just made me think... that'd be a freakin sweet picture set, to have this effect using 2 cameras showing 2 cars crashing into each other... and even sweeter, merge the last pics from each camera into a single panorama, so you get that effect from opposite directions! man, I just gotta find 2 cars and 2 drivers willing to crash, and get a 2nd camera :| |
