Hi all. we finally had clear skies here tonight, put the TCON on and here is what i got.

Not real clear but the moon was almost straight overhead and my neck finally got sore.

Great shot,Bob!!..you can almost see the man..lol.If you don't mind me asking..how did you do that? I have no idea on how to begin..I remember trying many moons ago(no pun intended) with my slr but never did get anything as clear as yours..:)

Thanks Lisa. I used full manual controls and my TCON lens. I set the arpeture as low as it would go, 3.7 and set the shutter speed till the exposure meter was at 0.0 and set the self timer and it did the rest....and i took alot of pics, this is the only one that really turned out from about 30 pics. you have to use a tripod.

Thanks Bob..I'll have to give it try this week..we finally got some clear skys.The northerns are suppose to be on an upward intense swing also..I'll try those too.Thanks again..:)

Great moonie Bob. When you try it with a full moon you may have to let the exposure go into the minus side to get a clean shot. It is a lot brighter than most folks think. A faster shutter speed and higher ISO can also help some. Play around and up and down the pasm. It is a lot of fun.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I'm really trying with the PASM mode. Unfortunately not enough time to practice. I want to set down and really learn the manipulation software also. I think your right Dawg, that moon is brighter than you think.

I would say I was happy to look, but I just figured out that you just mooned us!!! LOL Good luck with the PASM modes Bob and keep mooning us that way. I know I will!!
