hi, im new here, sorry about my english but i´m from Argentina andi dont speak it very well.
I have a question and its about the camera dock, i want to know if you canuse the camera dock without the easyshare software, i know it can charge the batery but i dont know if you can transfer pictures without easeshare software.. Its because i dont like very much easeshare software. I have a 6490 and a camera dock |

Yes you can use (not "youse") the dock for charging but you need the easyshare software to do a "one touch" transfer. Here in the U.S. many of us use a Card reader. This is a device you plug into your computer and it reads whatever you have on your CF. You must remove the CF card from the camera and insert it in the proper slot in the card reader. There are several manufacturers and models that run from about $10 to $30USD. Look at Belkin or Sandisk for a start. If you go this way - remember to ALWAYS reformat your card in the camera- NOT on the computer !! Good Shooting |
