Hi Alan and other members,
I remember some of you are long time users of PSP but still using very old versions without upgrading. PSP X (not the latest version but perhaps newer than your version) is now free to Lexar customers. But they don't verify your Lexar status. Here is the URL: http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=Development/LexarPSPBundlePromo&lc=en&trkid=CJ Just register your name and email address, then download. No key is needed for the install. The download file is 106MB large. This offer may not last long. Need to grab it fast. Good luck! Daniel P.S. There is a nag screen everytime the program terminates, asking the user to upgrade to PSP XII. To disable the annoying nag screen (make sure PSP is not running) :- (1) Open the file ‘C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel Paint Shop Pro X\PCUUI\Container.htm’ in notepad. (2) Erase all the text and insert the following single line... location=”pcucmd://Cancel?confirm=no”; (3) Save the changed file and exit notepad. You will not see the nag screen next time when you terminate the program. Last edited by dancheng; Jul 16, 2009 at 2:11 AM. |

There are strings attached to this particular offer.
I got the first one - Paint Shop Pro X - probably a little too advanced for my present skills in PP-ing but things may change! Anyway, better too much than too little. Funnily enough, I came here to thank Daniel for the link AND the instructions of how to kill the nag. You are obviously very computer savvy, Daniel - I wouldn't have a clue what to do, so my very sincere thanks, Daniel. |
