Shot this last Thursday night with the tcon. The moon was deep red and was just coming into view.

Great Shot tsims.

I've tried to get some moon shots and they are always blurry and small (even though the moon looks huge in the sky).

After seeing all the great shots here I finally ordered my tcon today, so hopefully I can get some good shots.

Thanks Steve. A tcon + a tripod area great combo for moon shots. You'll love the lense!

Nice pic Ts. I'm enjoying the Tcon a lot but still havin trouble gettin the moon in focus even with a tripod and going up and down the scale. Still fun trying though and I'll get it one of these times

Dan, I use the self- timer along with the tripod. Keeps everything stable. Good luck.

Nice shot Tsims. That color really made for a great shot. Don't forget Dan that the moon is going to be very bright and needs a fast shutter speed and small arperture or you'll blow it out with too much light.

The shot was taken at F8, 1/5 shutter speed, self timer, dx 7590 and a tripod. I assume the 6490 would work the same way. I have taken moom shots with itwith good results.
