humming birds are stil showing up at the two feeders I have out for them although most have headed south now. Sometimes they almost seem to want to pose

Sorry Boily. This one was actually taken Sept. 13th of last year so I am not sure weather I used the tcon17 with the 6490 or not. I rather doubt it as I can usually walk up fairly close to the hummer feeders and get pictures after they get used to me.

Great shot! Super sharp. You could benifit from saving it as a higher quality jpeg. Because the background is very pixelated(And there are some Jpeg artifacts...). Otherwise a really good hummmer shot!

I'm unable to get one like that with the DX6490 and TCON from my front porch! Wish they would let me get that close! Really sharp photograph Andy! My hats off to you.

That's a great shot... Our hummers are very skiddish... If someone moves closer to the window in the kitchen they take off...(our feeder is right outside the kitchen window)

Hmm... maybe the hummers at out house are a little different. XD We have twi feeders, one right outside the kitchen window. Hanging over the porch railing. And, you can go out there and sit on a chair and wait for them t come. They're not real skiddish aroud here. XDD (Makes good for shooting them, but, 3x zooooom isn't enough to get close to them. :3 Hoping the 5.8x zoom of the P880 is better suited. If not, I'll get the Kodak TCON! :3 )
