Capped these 2 in my parents garden, the bee didn`t stay around too long, but the fly posed for me for a couple of mins.

Very cool macros TD. You can see each individual "hair" on the bee.

That 1st one rocks. Awesome color, TD. I can't ever get the darned bugs to stay still long enough to shoot, LOL.

Just wondering what camera and settings you used for those great photos? I would like to be able to take macro photos but can't seem to get the hang of it. Usually my pics are blurry.

I have a Kodak DX6490 Marilyn,I just set my camera to Aperture priority in PASM,about F5.6. Macro mode on. I kneel ,and rest one elbow against my other knee, and just move in and out , refocussing so I can getas close as the camera,or the subject will allow. When I get the green light I click the shutter Try experimenting with the Aperture sizes, to get good depth of field, Larger Aperture sizes = more depth of field (Thanks again Coldsnail) TD Aperture priority, F4 1/250th sec |

Everytime I try to get a little bug they fly off to the wild blue yonder. It is nice that one of the fellows stayed for you to get such great shots.
