Thanks everyone! Jim, I don't really see much difference in color and black and white as far as the sharpness goes. I can get a varience in color though by changing the F/stop or the shutterspeed. Also it makes a difference in color when there is high humidity or you are shooting at a low aspect to the horizon! The thicker air makes for more color! I don't get a very sharp photo sometimes unless I'm at least at a 8X zoom. Can't get a very sharp photo of nthe moon then, but you can get a better shot of the clouds and moon in combination at the lower zooms! Just remember that shooting closeups of the moon is like shooting something in daylight. The moon has enough light that dalight shooting tecniques are a must.
