A few fire pics

Fire's always been one of my favorite subjects to photograph, you can influence it (size, general shape, etc.) but not really control what it will look like in the pics. Here are some pics I took a couple weeks ago...

Oh, and this is the first time I've really been using RAW for my pics, and WOW what a difference! Card space permitting, I don't think I'll ever shoot on JPEG again!

All these pics have been post-processed in CS2, with the RAW files there's lots I can do, and I feel like I'm still just scratching the surface! I could manipulate a single pic 10 different ways and they'd all still look cool.

This is one of those that I could do 10 different versions of. The white-ish highlights in the flames could come out looking so many different ways, I finally kinda settled on this one.

Those are awesome

Fire is somewhat tricky to photograph, and you obviously have spent some time learning how capture the flames..

A great example of how cool it is to work with RAW. This pic was originally a B&W, but because the RAW file records exactly how the imaging sensor saw it, I could fully bring back in the colors that were in the image!

I love fire shots (and bon-fires in general, lol). THose were great Wiz!
