I just picked up a used Z1012is and before that I had a Z740 and before that I had an Olympus something or other. I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination but I enjoy photography. Okay, 'nuff about me.
My question for today is why don't they design these cameras to take a filter on the end of the lens instead of requiring a screw on adapter tube? Seems like that would be the best solution, at least it seems that way to me. Okay, now everybody gets to tell me what an idiot I am. ![]() Last edited by Wiley-X; Oct 5, 2010 at 10:39 PM. |

Wiley-
Welcome to the Forum. We're pleased that you dropped by. No, the answer is that we don't have any input concerning design. We're stuck with the finished product. Therefore, we use a lens adapter. Sarah Joyce |

Oops, left an important word out of my original post.
I didn't think that anyone here had any design input but I thought that maybe someone had some insight or a technical reason. |
