As an adendum to the above. Indianguy, You might want to back up just a little to get the whole plant in the frame. I know everyone is trying to get as close and as deep inside a flower as they can but to me...And I must stress to me the photo looks much better if the whole bloom is in the frame and a little of the foliage. Just looks more natural to me!

Namaste,
I am from Gujarat India and have same camera as yours. Regarding exposure you can tweak with Photoshop or ACDsee and recover the burned out details a bit. But I would advise you to use F5.6 or higher to achieve better DOF, in your shots some front pollen isles are out of focus. try using multi spot focus (will be very hard in Macro mode), but if you can achieve the focus shot will be great. Background is great in your shot. You can bit underexpose the shot by using full manual M mode and choosing F7.1, Shutter speeds 1/30 or 1/45. Handheld it is difficult with non image stabilized camera such as DX6490. Atindra |

![]() Thanks a lots Slipe, Bigdawg and Atindra. Now i keep in future about spot meterin vs matrix meteing, and also use less aperture to create great DOF and use filter to cut the bright light, But if use less apeture than the background will more sharp ? that will good ? regard |
