The adapter tube block the internal flash...
If you use an external flash, nothing will get in front of it like you can see on this picture:-) |

Everything I'm going to show you works great on a DX6490. Just go look at my past posts and boily's from about 4months ago and back! Boily's now using a P850 but back then we were both using the heck out of the DX6490's we own! I still do and will continue to use it for several years from now! Here we go...
Go here and buy the Lens Adapter for the DX6490.... http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...goryNavigation Stay with the 55mm size and you'll be happiest. There are a lot of 52 mm adapters and lens and filters out there but they will give you some vignetting problems! Go here for the UV and polorizer filters........ http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...goryNavigation Keep this filter in place with the lens adapter to protect you lens and lens assembly from damage. The Polorizer filter and the TCON and WCON lens will screw right on over it! Now for the polorizer! http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...&Submit=Go Use this to cut reflection from water glass or any non-metalic reflector! Also will help enrich the colors! Screws right over the UV Haze filter and can be stacked with the WCON and TCON. the stack will be in this order.. 1. camera 2. lens adapter 3. UV Haze filter 4. Polorizer filter 5 TCON or WCON lens This stack works pretty good for me when shooting landscapes. As a result of stacking these like this a tiny bit of vignetting will show up but the clarity of the photo is not affected! Go here for the TCON lens.... http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...goryNavigation I like the Olympus TCON- 17 for it's price and Zoom range. The Kodak TCON is a 1.4X converter and the Olympus TCON-17 is a 1.7X converter giving more magnification! Go here for the Wide Angle Lens ( WCON )........... http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...goryNavigation This Schneider lens really gives a clear photo. Very little distortion if you keep the camera at the widest angle of the Zoom range. Great for letting you take a step back without moving! These are ther proven lens filters and adapters that have been tried, tested to the max, and found to work great on the DX6490. Hope this is what you were looking for... Dawg |

If you set the UV at +0.3 or -0.3 this sensor will let more or less light pass ! |
