I have been having super duper fantastic prints made by Shutterfly (4"x6" @ .12 ea.)
They use a paper made by Fuji that looks great. I also use Kodak, Snap Fish and Dot. I have not put any ink into my epson printer for over a year and have a HP printer still in the box that came with my HP pc that I bought 2 years ago but only set up last year. How large a print have you made? If sent out , to who and how much did it cost and from what distance is it viewed if displayed? BiLL :

All prints from my P850 are printed at Wal-Mart's 1-Hour Photo, 19cents/4x6 print... Lustre finish... They are printed on Fuji paper and I love them. I have printed up to an 8x12 there and still came out beautifully even viewed from a few inches. The 5x7's run $1.47, 8x10's run ~$2.58, 8x12's run ~$3.82... and they are all ready in less than an hour.

It's moslty going to depend on the resolution that you took the pics at. The higher the res the bigger the pic. I have printed some 8.5 by 11's from my Z740 at 5.0mp that have turned out superb on an old HP 932C.
Use HP paper and inks on your HP printer. Set it at the highest print quality and wait. It takes about 5 miniutes for mine to print but they sure come out sharp and clear. |

My prints are on "Fujicolor Crystal Archive" paper.
Just about all on line labs give you a bunch of free prints for signing on and prived free on line storage via albums for all you up loaded images regardless if you are not ordering a print of all of them. BiLL :

Bill, I've got two 20x30" prints from Shutterfly, framed and hung in the livivng room.
From 6 ft away they look great...Actually had another one that one of my wife's girlfriends liked so much, she gushed and swooned over it, batted her pretty eyes, andoffered $100. for it ![]() Dan |

I have only ordered 4x6 prints from them and the color and gloss are great! People in the medical media say they look like dye transfer prints. I think 20x30 is not the same ratio as 8.5x11 so did they (or you tell them) to crop or do they give you 4 white borders (2 horizontal one size and 2 verticle of a different size)? BiLL :| I would like to print a pano or two on 16x20 paper with 2 wider horizontal borders than the 2 verticle ones. Gives it a nice gallery look. |
