IŽd like to take a shot of flowing water in which the water would be blurred by movement, with sharp surroundings (hope you get the idea). I have DX4330. When I set long exposure time setting, I get just white picture without any image. Do I have to use some filter? Thanks in advance

If you're just getting a white picture, I presume that your exposure time is set far too long. To blur flowing water you really don't need a very long exposure time (depending the water's speed obviously), and as long as the camera is held still the surroundings should stay sharp.
I took the photo below at a shutter speed of 1/13th sec, with ISO100 and f4.5. Ideally you would use a tripod, but this photo was taken with my arms just resting on a fence. ![]() Is this the sort of thing you were after? |

Thanks Edie. I think IŽll try some ND filters too. My Kodak DX4330 doesnŽt allow for setting shutter speed/priority and stuff.
