![]() ![]() I'm trying to decide between the: 1. Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar 1.4x lenswhich Kodak recommends butdoesn't offer much magnification. price @ $150 2. Raynox DCR-2020at 2.2x. price @ $190 3. Olympus TCON-17 at 1.7x. price @ $100 4. Canon TC DC52 at 2.4x. price @ $75 I would greatly appreciate anyrecommendations or opinions.Thanks, Jahvon. |

Hello, Jahvon
1. S-K 1.4 is good but limited to the 1.4x . 55mm adapter 2.Raynox 2020- I've seen good reviews of this lens but I don't know any Kodak users who tried it.Will require a 52mm adapter 3. Oly 1.7- used by many of us here with great results and it fits Kodaks 55mm adapter 4. Canon 2.4 - sorry not familiar with this My opinion is you can't go wrong with the Oly 1.7...also highly recommend the genuine Kodak lens adapter vs. others Dan |

TCON information and comparison tests:
http://www.cs.mtu.edu/~shene/DigiCam...-30/index.html 3x comparisons: http://www.cs.mtu.edu/~shene/DigiCam...-300-Comp.html My conclusions from the above - Nikon's probably the best but the Oly 1.7 is very good and has a better price/performance ratio. |

Get the Olympus TCON-17 or the Kodak 1.4X. Either one will do a very very good job. 2X tele-converters cause some problems with photo clarity and a 52mm adapter will (didn't say may but will) cause some vignetting problems. There are many converter lens out there that will fit but after seeing thousands of photos from the TCON-17 and a Kodak camera, I don't see anything any better.

![]() ![]() positive things about the TCON-17. I think I'll buy both the Olympus TCON-17 andthe Canon TC DC52 and play around with both just for the fun of it! I'll try and post some comparison photos later, thank you all! |
