Getting the focus point exactly where I desire it to be is very important to me. I have found that is easy to do when center point focusing is selected, see the photo on the left. However, if you select multi-zone focusing on the Z980, you may get a big surprise, seee the photo on the right.
So please be careful when setting up your Z980 camera. Sarah Joyce |

I have been using the camera for a month or so now and find it to be a great camera.

That a very nice photo, Dan-
Personally I have mixed feelings about the Z-980 camera. Out of doors it does just fine. However, I do not like how its WB handles skin tones. Sarah Joyce |

Well Folks-
I am still wrestling with the Auto WB on the Kodak Z-980 camera. I am not yet satisfied with the skin tones that I have been able to obtain. Here is a sample. Sarah Joyce |

To have something to compare the Z-980 sample to, here is another photo sample from the Kodak Z-612 camera. Both photos were taken using the "low Color" option.

Here is another photo taken with the Pentax KM 2000 DSLR camera.
You will see that it is once again a much better photo than the photo produced by the Kodak Z-980 camera. And also please note the WB is correct, unlike the Kodak Z-980 camera, which seems to be less that accurate WB-wise. Sarah Joyce Last edited by mtclimber; May 29, 2009 at 11:51 PM. |

How fast can the Z980 take pictures for movement?

How fast the Kodak Z-980 can take a photo is a function of how much light is available in the Photo Environment. In a well lighted environment, the Z980 can record just about anything you might desire.
