it was 228.00 on amazon today and I seen it on closeout for 113.00 at a local store. Does anyone have an opinion on this model ?

From the review it got in 2009 it is an ok camera for t he 113 bucks. I would not pay over 200 for it though. There are so many newer ones out there now, well. It is a good ps pocket camera.

a close friend of mine is looking at it because his funds are limited and the 113.00 price is attractive to him.

yes, it is one the best cameras in fact you wont get anything better than z950 for 113 dollars. I owned one and did outstanding photos!

His only complaint is that it is slow between shots. In P mode still about 4 or 5 seconds.

I think most Kodaks default to showing the photo just taken for about 5 sec. This is called Quickview and can be switched of in the setup menu. That's the first thing I did on my z612.
