Looking out over the western shore of Lake Superior this morning around eight am. After having the warmest summer on record in Duluth, Mn we are now having a real cold spell with temps. 20 degrees below average. It was eight degrees below freezing or 24 F. when I took this picture. The lake water is a lot warmer then the air tempature so we refer to it as steam fog rising off the lake. As we get closer to winter it will get much more so with big clouds of steam rising off the lake. It is starting to snow outside right now and its about noon. Andy
