By fitting your P-50 with a lens adapter, you can them add filters and a lens hood to prevent lens flare. The lens adapter come with the final outward facing thread sizes of 55mm or 58mm. You can buy the lens adapter from
http://www.Kodak.com or stroll over to ebay and just type in "kodak P-850 lens adapter" in the search function. There are quite a few choices available. An you can even find the lens adapter and the lens hood together in a kit. The other option is to get the lens adapter then add the lens hood, just be sure you get the correct size.
