the lens won't retract...
ok ok i know im an idiot but i dropped my V530. As it hit the floor, vertical lines flashed on the screen then turned off. I would turn it on, only to have it turn off 2 seconds later. The lens was out wen it fell, and now the last section of the lens is crooked. There are no scratches on it, so is it possible i could get away with it on a warranty? Can it be fixed at my local shop or am i stuck with a camera at a point of no return? i am so screwed. |

You can return it to Kodak and they will fix or replace it! Might get it covered under warranty but I doubt it! Cost you something now matter which way you go as that kind of damage only comes from Sudden Impact!

A couple days after I bought my p850 I gave my wife my older Kodak camera, and within 10 minutes she brought it to me with this fearful look on her face. She had dropped it and the lens was crooked, lucky for her, it just popped right back into place and works fine to this day. Needless to say, she doesn't use the 850
