A good starting point, you can really make it look cool with some post-processing! A sepia filter maybe, or just change the saturation levels.
Try taking pics from different angles, and try blowing gently toward the flame to make it flicker and waver a bit, rather than it being straight up. If you're using the manual mode for this, get a tripod and set the apeture high (f8 is the max) and a faster exposure than you did before, say between 1/10-1/50. Then focus it on the base of the flame. This will make the upper part of the candle glow, and will look really cool in B+W You're doing real well with your pics man, the 6490 is a great choice to start playing around and get creative, instead of just doing regular snapshots! |

This is great low-light hand-held shot. You are doing well with DX6490. I am sure you will be happy with it.
