If I had to replace my Z730 with 4x optical zoom what would be a good camera that is just as compact, uses the same aux. lenses, has a electronic view finder to see what the aux. lens sees and has more than 3x optical zoom(even if other than Kodak)?

Bill-
I have really become quite fond of the Z-612 that I have had for a month now. It is a great little camera. And it has an EVF, and would use the aux wide angle just fine, giving you 10X optical zoom. Sarah |

The Z730 is a nice small camera and uses a 37mm aux lens.
The Z612 is in the Z7490 class and uses the big 55mm aux. lens. I to carry the Z730 in a coat pocket with its wrist strap for shooting on the go. BiLL |

I apologize, Bill-
I thought that the standard thread for aux lenses was 55mm. Perhaps the C-875 with 5X optical zoom. It has about the same form factor, but no viewfinder. Sarah |

I was looking at that one and the Easyshare 4 & 6 MP with the swing out lcd.
I am still in my looking mode which can last 1 to 365 days or longer. Thanks! BiLL :| |

Greetings Bill,
The only other Z camera Kodak offers that will accept your 37mm lenses is the Z760. Since this is a close match to the Z730 there likely would not be an advantage. If you want to move on to other models that will not accept your lenses, there are some nice features. Personally, if you are looking for an easy to carry and convenient camera, I would consider the V series, i.e. the V610. Pretty nice camera with 10X optical (Schneider lenses) that I find convenient. Uses Bluetooth as well. If you are thinking of a larger camera, more like the Z730, you may want to move up to a P series. But, not knowing what kind of photography you like or plan to do, it is hard to suggest. What do you want to capture with your camera? What are the usual images you tend to take? Talk to you soon, Ron Baird Eastman Kodak Company |

Hello Ron!
I like my Z730 as much as my late Dx7440! Nice compact size and nice optical viewer. My only regret is that a evf is needed to use the aux. wide and tele I have for this small camera. I would like to get a similar camera with a evf since I have not seen a visor or hood for these large lcd pannels that have very little space around them to give any velcro a sound anchor point (I think). Was looking at the z612, C875 and the easy share with 6MP that have 3" swivel lcd's (I hope a hood or visor is available for them). Will these take my tele & wide aux. ? I still have my DX7444 that needs repair, is there any interesting trade ups available BiLL |

Greetings Bill,
You can use your lens on the following cameras. None other than the Z760 are current. We moved on to a different lens feature at 55m for later cameras or many use the built in zooms. CX6445 DC120 DC210 DC240 DC260 DC265 DC290 DX3500 DX3600 DX3900 DX4330 DX4530 DX4900 DX6340 DX6440 DX7440 DX7630 LS443 Z730 Z760 If you do move on to a different camera you may be able to sell the accessories along with the camera? Sorry I can't offer more help. Your lenses will not work with the cameras in which you have an interest. The S series or EasyShare One cameras do not accept accssory lenses. Sorry I can't be more positive. Talk to you soon. Ron Baird Eastman Kodak Company |

How about the Canon A540? 6mp, 4x op zoom, not sure about the evf though... just dropped to 199 at walmart and it will accept lenses with a lens adapter, but not sure of the size, might want to look into it.
