A macro of a pile of salt on the railing of the deck. Hope you enjoy, and yes, it's actual salt.

I don't know if I like this one or not EN. Did you have it on spot focus?

A great example of DOF. Can you do us a favor and take this shot with f/8.0 ? You may need a tripod. But that's the thing with macro shots, the DOF is very shallow. I can see exactly where you focused!

I suppose I'm out of touch. XD Yes, the macro mode uses center spot focusing. I mainly like the black and white. It's tnothing special. Haven't been takingm any photos lately.

Is it a bad thing to see where I focused? Usually, with all macros, you can see where the photographer focused. I'll see what I can do, though. Thanks for your comments!
![]() My P880 has a weird thing with Macros without it being on the macro setting. I'll see what I can do. ![]() Quote:

Nothing wrong... Photography is art... I like the picture but in my humble opinion the fact that it's only sharp halfway through it is distracting. It's definitely a technique to use when you're trying to isolate something though. Here's two closeups using my P850, same focus.
The left one f/2.8 and the right one f/6.3 |
