Dawg.............I don't know what to say. I'm blushing. You son of a puppy. Thems som farmer shots thar. Just like a farmer your outstanding in your field. That last one inspires me to find a tree. No really thanks for the compliment. I do think you have a great eye on the world. You are Cher both have great eyes of what to to shoot. I only wish I could see half of what you do.

That's very good Dawg, makes me want to try some shots similar. The reply regarding the "farmer out standing in his field" is a winner.

Great shots, Dawg! Proves that great moon shots don't always need high telephoto resolution...very nice!

Closeups of the moon are neat but to get drama or a certain feeling in moon shots you need props. Such as Tree limbs or clouds or buildings and the luck in the timeing. I was lucky in these! RJ as for seeing some times ya jus haffa louk. LOLOL I still think your closeup is a winner! Thnks to everyone for the look and the comments. I can't wait to see some moon shots from you guys!

Let's make it clear that what I THINK Dawg is referring to by "moon shots" is the extraterrestrial kind. LOLOL!!!

Well after seeing all the great moon shots from sw2cam and Dawg, I thought I'd try one myself. Note that it's not the sharpest, but I think that can be attributed to Southern California's local smog? Here's one from tonight - taken on tripod at full optical zoom (no digital), F8, 1/50 sec, ISO 50.

I think having a TCON would help bring in some detail like what I saw in the other moon pics.
