At my work, we've started a small photo club. Over the weekend, three of us went out to the botanical garden that my wife and I frequent. My boss brought his Canon 1D and his expensive macro L lens, another brought his Oylmpus DSLR...and there I was with my trusty Kodak Z1012, as I've yet to order my Canon Rebel. So we decided to try to replicate each others shots. I have to say, we were all (even me) surprised with the results from the Kodak when stacked against the others. It's just my Kodak and my cheap Opteka close-up filters, with only a small amount of post-processing (a little bit of clarity boost and some selective noise removal). But since I had the close-up filters (mainly used the +2 and +4) I was able to get some nice tightly framed shots. Here's just a few of the results. Don't under estimate what this little camera can do!!!

These shots are just AMAZING! I love the last one. This just makes me even more excited and I want my Z1012 NOW. (Getting it next week.)

Thanks! The Z1012 is a great camera. And with some attachments, you can get some really spectacular results. I recently got a Canon DSLR and I'm shooting mainly with that now (can't post those pictures in this subforum
