Had a doctors appointment so I too the day off for a 3 day weekend.
Went to the doctors office via Marine Park with my Z730 and a Kodak Aux. wide angle lens. I wanted to take a few verticles to ma a nice horizontal pano with a enhanced sky which is a trait of wide angle lenses. This year there were very few Egrets at Marine Park Saltmarsh Nature Center. As luck (bad luck) would have it there were 4 Egrets on pilings just far enough for a 4x optical zoom not to be able to do justice to! Murphies Law strikes again!!!!!:? BiLL :

There was a bit of a breeze so I took its picture.
You could say "I was just shooting the breeze". BiLL :

All the bad things you hear about Brooklyn are rumors started by those people from "The Bronx" where the street go up hill or down hill! I like this part of Brooklyn so much (Mill Basin) that after I stay in this house for 2 yrs (to avoid capital gains tax) I plan to buy a coop close to the Marine Park Salt Marsh Nature Center(outter edge of Sheepshead Bay). I currently walk 8 blocks to get there. There is a very nicecoop of 6 story buildings just accross from the salt marsh and one block from a suppermarket with god bus access (I don't drive). I f I find one for sale on the 6th floor I will keep my spotting scope and video camera and Kodak on tripods at windows over looking the marsh. BiLL :

"rumors started by those people from "The Bronx" where the street go up hill or down hill!"
Hey hey wait a minute!!! I resemble that remark! Brooklyn's really not so bad... wonderful family oriented neighborhoods like Bed-Stuy, Little Oddessa, Bay Ridge... But I would NEVER spread rumors... Actually most of the retired civil servants (police and firemen) from Brooklyn live right here in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. You can see them walking like zombies up and down the aisles of the new Super WalMart... The men wear worn out NY Yankees caps, sweat stained FDNY tee shirts and plaid shorts and they carry little oxygen tanks while their morbidly obese wives follow them in those electric scooter things shouting obscenities with a classic 1940's Brooklyn accent. |

True! True!
I have seen many of them when I went with my girl friend to Hollandale and Miami, Fl. Yaking away at Publix and Windixie! They think their on Belmont Ave or Pitkin Ave looking for the real deal. Is Rio Rancho the place that "Red Buttons" did ads for? BiLL |
