Hi I'm new to the forum and fairly new to digital photography! Even though I'm not new (61 years old)! I have a Kodak Z730 and am enjoying it! Nice to be here and meet all of you! Here are a few photo's I took with it!

Welcome to the forums!
I think you'll find that our members frequenting the Kodak Forum here are a very friendly bunch, with a great sense of humour. |

Great capture!
A suggestion: Turn off the date/time stamp feature in your camera. ;-) The images from your Kodak contain a lot of information about the photo in each photo file's header (includng the date/time taken, shuttter speed, aperture, ISO speed, and much more). So, if you want to add one back for some reason later, you can use software to do that for you, including some free products like Irfanview (which can add it to selected images in batch mode) and Exifer (it's watermark feature can use the image's date/time stamp info). That way, you can keep copies of the images with and without a date/time stamp (which can be unsightly). Some printing software can also add a date/time stamp when you print the images if you really want one there (so, that you don't even need to keep a seperate copy with a date/time stamp if you really want one for some reason). Software has access to a lot of information in your images, like this data I just got from one of the images you posted: File name: Crocus004.jpg (Standard EXIF Tags) >>> Photograph Information <<< Aperture : F5.6 Color Space : sRGB Components Configuration : YCbCr Date and Time (digitized) : 2008:03:12 15:18:23 Date and Time (original) : 2008:03:12 15:18:23 Exif Version : 48 50 50 49 Exposure Bias : 0 Exposure index : 140/1 Exposure Program : Auto Exposure Time : 1/30 s FNumber : F5.6 File Source : Digital still camera Flash : No, compulsory FlashPix Version : 48 49 48 48 Focal Length : 18.0 mm ISO Speed Ratings : 140 Light Source : Unknown Maker Note : 75 68 75 48 49 48 50 73 90 55 51 48 32 32 32 32 3 1 0 1 16 10 140 7 216 7 3 12 15 18 23 17 0 0 0 0 1 0 48 2 108 10 0 0 0 0 1 57 ... Where are you in the Atlanta area?
My wife and I lived in Marietta, GA for about 12 years (and in Smyrna for a while before that). We just moved back to Savannah (where I'm originally from) a few years ago. |

We live south of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Riverdale, Georgia. We have been here for 25 years, but are originally from Hawaii! Hope to be moving back soon!
