Very nicely done Dawg!!! I finallygotthe cable release for the Pentax that was ordered almost two weeks ago, maybe I can shoot the stars tonight
![]() I have noticed a lot of my very long shutter shots tend to be blurred and I thought maybe I was shaking the porch, but then I got to thinking... Maybe the stars are actually moving slightly during my shot? I think I read somewhere that youneed to stick with shutter speeds 30" and shorter to avoid that blurrrrr. |

Much longer than 30 seconds will give you star trails Nick. The best is go with a Faster lens and a shorter durration. A good 50 mm lems with a F/1.4 arperture will get it done! Works great for lower light action shots too!

1.9 is better than 2.8 and you can leave it on for longer than 16 seconds...that's been one of my pet peeves with the DX6490. Don't zoom in too close or the motion will become more apparent! Good luck with it Nick!
