Why is it, that when I take 4-5 pictures quickly in a row, the camera has to wait a few seconds with a "blue screen of death" that says "processing." It's usually then that I miss the shots I *really* want to take. Is there anyway to cut down on this, or avoid it all together? Thanks :)

That is one of the down sides to digital. it is hard to get a series of really quick pics. You can set your camera to a lower quality, such as using the e-mail setting, but then you have a low res image, that's no good for enlarging. It is just something you have to live with.

hope this helps.

I found this a lot worse on the 7590 than my 6490,,,,,it would come up with a preview,,,you thought you could take another shot,,,but NOOOOOOOOO,,,you hit the shutter and that busy screen would come up,,almost forever,,,the 6490 shows the busy screen till it`s ready to go again,,,at least i know when i can take the next shot....kodak has to increase the buffer size and speed next time arround...

I've noticed that too, Brian. I have the 6490 and the 7590 also. The file size is about 3 times bigger with the 7590. I'm starting to like the 7590 a little more than I did at first, a couple of it's features ticked me off right off the bat.
