I just bought the Z612 ... I will be using it for outdoor sports activities ... I bought the sandisk Ultra II 1.0 gb but I could of bought a regular 2.0 gb Sandiisk for a lot less. Is it necessary for action shots to have the Ultra II

Minnie-
No, a fast chip or card such as the Ultra II is only required when you are using the burst mode a lot or doing many long video clips. Save your money and just purchase regular chips. Sarah |

yes you do not need fast memory cards for sports shooting.... I shoot a lot of football with the p850 and a skylight 1a filter and the tcon 17...... I use a general 1GB memory card... normal speed and its not a fast memory card......
here is a photo taken with the 1GB memory card and the tcon 17.... shooting_rubber. |
