Hi,
I'm new to the group and new to digital camera ownership, but am very experienced in non-digital photography. My question is which SD memory card is everyone using for their Kodak DX 6490. I have had 2 defective Lexar 256MB cards so far (loose lock slider) and am rather frustrated! :x I got a freebie Viking 16MB card when I bought the camera which seems to be working fine. Haven't seen that in the top name brands though. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks!! szafrica 8) |

I use a standard SanDisk 256MB SD in my DX6490. I don't think the camera would take advantage of a faster card, I could be wrong though.

Hi, ordinary Sandisk 256 Mb works fine. However do not try to use Ultra II as I did, it does not work at all...
Regards. |

To keep this post on topic, i am thinking of getting a DX6490, good to know I can use the SD cards I already have.
OT: DX6490, I was looking at your website and noticed a pic taken in Cerritos. I've been there 3 times. Small world. Matter of fact, I think I was at a house real close to where the picture was taken. |

I use a Viking 256mb card and have had no problems to date, but I recently purchased a SanDisk Ultra 2 256mb card, on burst mode there is a definate advantage in processing speed.
