Thanks... The bears were playing/fighting for a good 5-10 minutes, I ran out of memory after taking the first couple pictures and had to change cards and still had time to get several shots.

Very MUCH so! And I have the LBA to prove it. Already accumulated:
18-55mm f3.5-5.6Pentax ($xx) 28-105mm f4-5.6Sigma ($17, Like New) 35-105mm f4-5.6Pentax ($47, BNIB) 35-80mm f4-5.6Pentax ($1.47, Used) 100-300mm f4.5-6.7Sigma ($58, BNIB at Ritz) 50mm f1.9Chinon ($10, Used) Sounds bit overboard, but here's the story: I bought the Sigma 28-105 as a walk around lens, because the 55mm was just not long enough. The guy advertised it as having a Macro function... When I got it, I found out it doesn't focus any closer than 0.5m and no where does it mention anything about Macro. So I sent him a message and he offered over half of my 40 dollars back... or the whole amount and I could send it back. The lens is practically brand new, so I took the partial refund and kept the lens. Later I was surfing th"e bay" and came across a BNIB Pentax 35-105mm, a lens that bdimitrov's K-Mount Site lists availability as: "a few times a year, used", plus, focusing at 0.25m(~9")it will do the close up stuff that I wanted the Sigma for. So I justified spending a few dollars on that. Then I think the reason I have the 35-80mm is pretty self explanitory, I picked it up for under a buck fifty, so I didn't see a reason not to buy it, lol. And all this startedwhen the wifey had decided to buy me a NEWlens from Ritz, we walked in expecting to buy the $149 Quantaray 70-300mm lens, I asked the lady for it, she brought it to me... The wifey was ready to check out, but I asked what else they had in stock for Pentax and she brought out another box, it read "Sigma 100-300"... So I asked the question "How much is it?" She scanned it and looked very suprised... She said "$58"... the wifey said, "We'll take it." lol. So that's the story of how my LBA was started and maybe even temperarely satisfied. ![]() Sorry for such a long post... You don't have to read it if you are not interested. Merry Christmas and Happy Shooting to all! :| Nick |

Oh no you don't...I read every bit of it... Like candy after a good meal! LOL Try finding a good vivitar series 1 80-200 macro. You'll fill the void in your selection! LOL I'm still buying lenses and so far have only spent $180 or so. Ebay and Pentax have made it easy to load up with a premium selection of good but used lenses that will work with the Pentax cameras. NICE!!!! Next ,,,Trying to get a cheap 50mm 1.4 lens. Not easy as every one is snapping them up for 60 - 80 dollars. Too much above my budget.. LOL I'll keep trying. Prime lenses are the best. You need to look at some Prime lenses from the 28mm to the 200 mm range! They take a lot sharper photos! Have fun Nick...And merry Christmas!

Thanks Dawg... I wanted to start off getting a lot of coverage for minimum amount of money... so logically Zoom lenses first. I would like to find an AF 50mm prime lens (1.4 or 1.7) but I guess it's just back to watching stuff on eBay. See what I can find!
