Default Win xp and Kodak DC4800

What's the problem?
When i pluged in my DC4800 with usb cable in a computer with win XP it recognize a new "thning" but it couldn't find the drivers for it.

On oficiall kodak page it's writed that the win xp have drivers already installed for this camera, so on their page's no divers fo DC4800 under win xp.

Where can i find drivers for it, or haw to repair win xp.

thanks Klemen

Try opening My Computer and looking for "Removable Disk". If it is there, that's probably your camera.

If not, I hope someone else can help you with the driver problem. :?

Did you ever try to install Kodak soft from CD included? It may possibly help.

I have a DC4800 and Windows XP. When I connect the camera via the USB port and open the My Computer folder, I have an icon, in the drives section, labeled Kodak DC4800. I did not install any drivers--Windows apparently took care of that.

If you really need the drivers check to see if you can get some windows 2000 ones. They'll work on an xp system.

This is a common problem - and here is the solution.

Whether you are using Kodak's latest Easyshare software or not - it is advisable to have the latest firmware (v1.04) when connecting the DC4800 to Windows XP.

If you don't have the latest firmware, people do have problems connecting on windows XP using the built in XP drivers.

Hope that helps
